<p>It looks like you are using a wrong speed for the serialport. To see some data flowing but actually able to read it is most likely to be a wrong baudrate.</p>

<p>you've tried changing the speed - try also the hardware/software flow control settings.</p>
<p>What are you using for terminal software? minicom? cu?</p>

<p>The docs say you should switch off hardware and software flow control, and I've done that. I've tried minicom, cu, and screen, none of them seemed to do the trick.</p>
