Planet Grep: Unbroken
There had been issues with Planet Grep for a fair while, which I did not immediately see a fix for. Then again, the version which I was running is fairly old already.
So I've just updated it. That might mean you get some double posts for the time being, but
- No more empty posts from Philip,
- No more encoding issues and weblogs dropping off of planet as a result.
The update did invalidate the cache (at least it looks that way), but I think that's worth it.
Any idea why my posts were showing up as blanks? I've seen the same phenomenon on some other planets who think I'm interesting enough to syndicate. I'm happy to make planetary life simpler...
Simple: your RSS feed is broken. The more recent version of planet is just more tolerant regarding broken RSS feeds.
The data in your <description> tag should escape < and > characters to < and >. Your feed doesn't do that. The newer version of Planetplanet is just more tolerant towards bugs...
